Booking software for skin clinics, where the consultation decides the appointment
You cannot book a peel for someone whose skin you have not seen, and a client on retinol who did not mention it is an appointment you should not have started. Bookka takes the consultation as its own booking, keeps the skin history where the room can read it, and sells the aftercare on the same screen as the treatment.

What skin clinics put up with
If none of these are your week, you probably do not need us.
- A first-time client booking a medium-depth peel straight off the menu, sight unseen.
- Active ingredients and recent treatments discovered in the room, after the trolley is already set up.
- Facials, peels and microneedling all given the same hour when the room time is nowhere near the same.
- Downtime explained verbally and then forgotten by the client somewhere between the car park and the weekend.
- Cosmeceuticals recommended in the room and bought somewhere else, because buying them here meant a separate till.
- Skin history on paper cards that only exist in the drawer of the clinic that wrote them.
What changes
Each one is a thing the product does today, not a thing on a roadmap.
The consultation is its own booking
A short, cheap or free appointment on the menu in its own right, so a new client books the conversation rather than the treatment, and the treatment is booked afterwards at the length it actually needs.
Work you must assess first stays a quote
A course of needling for scarring cannot be priced off a photograph. Those arrive as an enquiry you answer with a plan and a price, instead of as a booking made from a menu line.
Skin history travels with the client
Notes and tags for type, actives, medication, prior treatments and reactions, private to the clinic and in front of whoever is in the room. Not on a card in a drawer, and not tied to the therapist who wrote it.
Pre-care and downtime, sent to everyone
Written onto the service once — stop the retinol, avoid the sun, nothing important on for three days — and carried in every booking confirmation, rather than depending on who remembered to say it.
Each treatment timed for the room it occupies
A thirty-minute express facial and a ninety-minute needling appointment are different bookings with different prices, and add-ons such as LED or extractions extend the appointment rather than the day.
The aftercare sells where it was recommended
Cosmeceuticals ring up against the same booking at the counter, or go through your online shop with pickup or post — and Bookka takes nothing on an in-person payment.
Everything a skin clinic runs on, in one place
Instead of a booking app, a card machine, a shelf of stock in a spreadsheet and a filing cabinet of paper client cards.
Fill the book
Bookings arrive while you are masking someone, and at eleven at night.
A calendar per person. Every team member has their own services, hours and schedule, with roles deciding who sees what. Chair renters and multi-location shops are handled as first-class cases, not workarounds.
Services with options, add-ons and quotes. Length variants that change the price, add-ons that extend the appointment, and a quote request for the jobs that have to be seen before they can be priced.
Get paid
The deposit on the treatment, the balance in the room, and the serum on the way out.
Deposits and cancellation policies. Take a per-service deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day. The customer sees the amount and the cancellation window before they pay, and a cancellation inside the window refunds itself.
A point of sale for walk-ins. Ring up services and retail at the counter, take cash or card, or use a WisePOS E terminal. Bookka charges no fee on an in-person payment — only Stripe’s own terminal rate applies, and cash costs nothing.
Gift cards and an online shop. Sell gift cards and products from your booking page, with pickup or post, and refunds and fulfilment tracked in the same place as your appointments.
Bring people back
Skin is a course of visits, and the one she does not rebook is where it stops working.
Reminders by SMS and email. A confirmation immediately and a reminder before the day, sent automatically. No-shows are mostly a memory problem, and this is the fix for it.
Bookka Rewards. Points for what people spend or stamps for turning up, redeemed against a catalogue you set. Rewards come off the bill at the till and in the shop.
Campaigns, social and ads. Email and SMS campaigns with single-use promo codes, a scheduler that publishes to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and a manager for Google and Meta ads.
Run the place
The admin that happens whether or not you have software for it.
Numbers you can act on. Revenue, bookings, your best services and the regulars who have quietly stopped coming — with exports and custom reports when you need to look properly.
An assistant that does the admin. Ask it about your own figures in plain English. Turn on changes and it will complete bookings, record cash, adjust stock and draft campaigns — confirming before each one and logging every change. It cannot cancel bookings, refund anyone or touch billing.
Xero, and the rest of your stack. Native accounting sync with accounts provisioned on connect, calendar sync so your own diary stays right, and Stripe underneath all of it.
Everything skin clinics need, in one tool
All of it on every paid plan unless the card says otherwise. Where something is limited by plan, the pricing below says so rather than this list hedging each line.
Consultations as a bookable service
Short, priced however you like, and available to book directly — so a first visit is an assessment rather than a treatment you have to talk her out of.
Quote requests for treatment plans
Scarring, pigmentation and anything needing a course come in as an enquiry you price as a plan, not as a single line from the menu.
Skin notes, actives and reactions on file
Held against the client and private to the clinic, so the room knows what she is using before the trolley is set up.
Pre-care and downtime in the confirmation
Attached to the service, so every client who books it gets the same instructions without anyone having to remember.
Depth and strength as priced options
One peel service carrying its strengths, each with its own price and room time, instead of five menu lines drifting apart.
LED, extractions and masks as add-ons
Chosen at booking, each adding its own minutes so a loaded facial still finishes when the next client arrives.
Deposits on the longer treatments
Set per service, so a ninety-minute appointment is protected and a quick follow-up is not burdened with one.
A calendar per therapist and room
Separate services, hours and clients for each person, with roles deciding who can see the clinic’s whole day.
Cosmeceutical retail at the counter
Stock sold beside the treatment, in person or through your shop, with no Bookka fee at all.
Gift cards from your booking page
Sold and redeemed against treatments or product, with the remaining balance tracked rather than written on a card.
Reminders that are automatic
Confirmation on booking, reminder before the day, by SMS and email, with no list for you to work through.
The clients whose course stalled
Reporting that shows who has not rebooked and how long it has been, with campaigns and single-use codes to restart them.
One flat price, not one per chair
No commission on any plan, including clients who find you through the marketplace. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial.

You can make the consultation its own bookable service and keep the treatments that need assessment off the public menu, taking those as quote requests instead. What Bookka will not do is enforce the rule for you — there is no setting that blocks a client from booking a peel until a consultation exists on her record. In practice, publishing the consultation and quoting the rest achieves it.
On the client’s record as notes and tags, private to the clinic and never visible to her. Skin type, current actives, medication, past treatments and any reaction. Be clear-eyed about the limit: Bookka has no structured treatment chart, no pre-appointment questionnaire she completes and no consent form she signs. If your clinic needs signed records, they will have to live somewhere else.
Put them on the service itself, and every booking confirmation for that service carries them automatically. Stopping retinol a week out, staying out of the sun, keeping the weekend clear after a peel — it goes to everyone who books, which is more reliable than it being something a therapist mentions at the end of the previous appointment.
There is no package or membership product in Bookka, so a course is not something you can sell as a single item with sessions drawn down from it. A gift card can be bought for the value and spent across bookings and retail, and Bookka Rewards can run points against what she spends — but if your business model is built on prepaid courses, this is the gap to weigh before anything else.
Yes. Every therapist has her own service list, hours and calendar, and roles control who sees the clinic’s whole day against only her own column. Business covers up to five people and Executive up to twenty, with extra staff at $14.95 a month beyond the included count.
Properly. Stock sells at the counter through the point of sale and online through your shop with pickup or post, refunds and fulfilment sit beside the appointments, and nothing Bookka charges is taken from an in-person sale. For a clinic where cosmeceuticals are a real share of revenue, that last part is the difference between recommending a product and selling one.
No, and we would rather say so. Cosmetic injectables in Australia turn on consent records and prescriber oversight, and Bookka has no consent forms, no clinical charting and no patient record. Bookka suits skin therapy — facials, peels, needling, LED — and a clinic whose core is injectables needs a practice system, not a booking platform.
No commission on bookings, on any plan, including clients who find you through the marketplace. There is a free plan for five bookings a month, then Business at $39 a month and Executive at $69. Online card payments cost 2.2% + 30c, all in and GST inclusive on Australian cards. In person Bookka takes nothing at all — you pay only Stripe’s own rate — and cash, your own EFTPOS machine and a gift card being redeemed cost nothing. Everything settles into your own Stripe account rather than ours.
