Quotes, refunds and being findable
A pass over the parts of Bookka that other people see — search engines, and customers reading an email you didn’t write by hand.
- NewQuotes go out as a proper quote document rather than a single grey paragraph, so what lands in a customer’s inbox looks like paperwork you’d be happy to send.
- NewEvery public page now carries its own title, description and canonical URL, and business pages describe themselves to search engines with structured data — so a listing in search results shows the business, not a generic site name.
- ImprovedRefund emails now say who issued the refund and which booking it belonged to, instead of leaving the customer to work it out.
- FixedQuote totals are readable on a dark background again.
Notifications you can actually control
- NewThe business notification toggles are live — turn individual confirmations, reminders and cancellation notices on or off per business.
- ImprovedNotification history shows what actually happened to a message — delivered, failed, or still on its way — rather than just whether Bookka tried to send it.
- ImprovedEvery email Bookka sends now shares one footer with a real, working unsubscribe link.
- ImprovedNotifications share a single visual language from the dropdown through to the toast, so a message looks the same wherever you meet it.
Bookka Rewards, and refunds that tell the truth
The loyalty programme lands, and every refund path in the product was rebuilt onto one shared foundation.
- NewBookka Rewards: customers earn points on visits, and rewards can be redeemed from every booking entry point — including programmes you’ve since wound down, so nobody loses points you already promised.
- NewVisit reviews, and a customer picker at the POS so counter sales attach to the right person.
- ImprovedEvery tender is now refundable, and two refunds can no longer race each other into the same payment.
- ImprovedStaff see exactly how a refund will be returned — and to which method — before they commit to it, with the same honest breakdown in every refund dialog.
- FixedReward discounts no longer count as revenue in analytics or on the sales email, and an order paid for entirely with a reward can be cancelled.
- FixedCustomers can see real availability before signing up, and land back on the slot they picked afterwards.
Gift cards, properly
- NewGift cards are drawn as gift cards on the dashboard, split into Active and Inactive, and searchable.
- NewA gift card issued from the dashboard can be emailed straight to the recipient.
- ImprovedThe dashboard overview was rebuilt around what needs your attention today rather than a wall of numbers.
- ImprovedGift card expiry and terms are fixed platform-wide instead of being a per-business setting, so a customer’s card means the same thing everywhere.
- FixedA gift card can no longer buy another gift card, carry over to the next shop order, or be used to grief a business through the rate cap.
