Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use a small number of them to keep Bookka working, to remember how you like it set up, and — only if you agree — to let businesses measure the advertising that brought you to their booking page. This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Your choices

When you first visit, we ask before setting anything that isn’t strictly necessary. Nothing optional is switched on until you say yes, and declining is one click. Your choice is stored on the device you made it on — no account is needed, and signing in doesn’t carry it to another browser. You can change your mind at any time:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in or complete a booking.

2. Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function, or to deliver something you specifically asked for. These are always on and don’t need your consent. Dashboard theme and layout settings are in this group: they’re only ever set for a signed-in account, as part of rendering the workspace you asked for.

3. Analytics

We measure page performance using Vercel Speed Insights, which is cookieless — it stores nothing in your browser and does not identify you. We currently set no analytics cookies. The analytics toggle in your preferences is there so that if we ever add a cookie-based analytics tool, it stays off until you opt in.

4. Marketing

Businesses on Bookka can connect their own Meta or Google Ads account so they can see which ads produce bookings. When they have, and when you have agreed to marketing cookies, their Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag load on their booking page and set the cookies below. If you decline, those tags are never loaded and no such cookie is set.

5. Third parties

Meta and Google are independent controllers of the data they collect through their own tags. Their handling is governed by their policies: Meta Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. Payments are processed by Stripe, which may set cookies on its own hosted checkout pages for fraud prevention — see the Stripe Cookie Policy.

6. Changes

If we add a vendor to any category we’ll update this page and ask you to make your choices again. Your stored consent is refreshed at least every 12 months.
