Online booking, on your page and in the marketplace. Your own booking link plus a profile customers can find by service and suburb. You choose whether bookings confirm instantly or wait for your approval.
Booking software for barbershops that still take walk-ins
Most barbershops run on both: a book that fills up and a door that keeps opening. Bookka keeps the appointments and the walk-ins in the same day, takes the money at the counter without skimming it, and charges one flat price however many chairs you run.
- No commissionon any booking, on any plan
- From $39 a monthflat, however many staff
- 0% in persononly Stripe’s own rate applies
What barbershops put up with
If none of these are your week, you probably do not need us.
- Appointments in an app and walk-ins in someone’s head, so the next free chair is whatever the person on the desk guesses.
- A regular who always asks for one barber, booked in with whoever happens to be free.
- Skin fades and beard trims booked as the same fifteen minutes, so the afternoon collapses.
- A card machine from the bank, a booking app, and two sets of takings that never reconcile.
- Per-chair pricing, so putting on a fourth barber costs you more in software before he has cut anyone.
- Thirty per cent to a marketplace on a new client who then comes back every three weeks for years.
What changes
Each one is a thing the product does today, not a thing on a roadmap.
One day view for the book and the door
A column per barber, with the appointments already in it and walk-ins added at the counter as they arrive. The person on the desk can see who is free and how long for, instead of working it out from memory.
Bookings go to the barber, not the shop
Each barber has his own services, hours and calendar, so a client booking online picks the person as well as the cut. Roles decide who sees the whole floor and who sees only his own column.
A fade and a trim take different time
Every service carries its own duration and price, with options for length or complexity and add-ons for the beard or the hot towel — each adding its own minutes rather than running into the next client.
The counter payment costs you nothing from us
Cash, card or a WisePOS E terminal, rung up against the booking. Bookka takes nothing on an in-person payment — only Stripe’s own rate applies — and it settles into your own Stripe account.
One price, whoever is on the floor
$39 a month covers up to five people and $69 covers up to twenty. No per-chair maths, so hiring is a rostering decision rather than a software bill.
Your own page, and no commission on it
A booking link that is yours plus a marketplace profile clients find by service and suburb. Bookka takes no cut of a booking through either, on any plan.
Everything a barbershop runs on, in one place
Instead of a booking app, a card machine from the bank, a loyalty card that lives in someone’s wallet, and a notebook behind the till.
Fill the book
Bookings arrive mid-fade, and at eleven at night when he remembers he has a wedding.
A calendar per person. Every team member has their own services, hours and schedule, with roles deciding who sees what. Chair renters and multi-location shops are handled as first-class cases, not workarounds.
Services with options, add-ons and quotes. Length variants that change the price, add-ons that extend the appointment, and a quote request for the jobs that have to be seen before they can be priced.
Get paid
Tap at the counter, keep the whole thing, and sell the pomade on the way out.
Deposits and cancellation policies. Take a per-service deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day. The customer sees the amount and the cancellation window before they pay, and a cancellation inside the window refunds itself.
A point of sale for walk-ins. Ring up services and retail at the counter, take cash or card, or use a WisePOS E terminal. Bookka charges no fee on an in-person payment — only Stripe’s own terminal rate applies, and cash costs nothing.
Gift cards and an online shop. Sell gift cards and products from your booking page, with pickup or post, and refunds and fulfilment tracked in the same place as your appointments.
Bring people back
A three-week client who slips to five is a third of your year gone.
Reminders by SMS and email. A confirmation immediately and a reminder before the day, sent automatically. No-shows are mostly a memory problem, and this is the fix for it.
Bookka Rewards. Points for what people spend or stamps for turning up, redeemed against a catalogue you set. Rewards come off the bill at the till and in the shop.
Campaigns, social and ads. Email and SMS campaigns with single-use promo codes, a scheduler that publishes to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and a manager for Google and Meta ads.
Run the place
The admin that happens whether or not you have software for it.
Numbers you can act on. Revenue, bookings, your best services and the regulars who have quietly stopped coming — with exports and custom reports when you need to look properly.
An assistant that does the admin. Ask it about your own figures in plain English. Turn on changes and it will complete bookings, record cash, adjust stock and draft campaigns — confirming before each one and logging every change. It cannot cancel bookings, refund anyone or touch billing.
Xero, and the rest of your stack. Native accounting sync with accounts provisioned on connect, calendar sync so your own diary stays right, and Stripe underneath all of it.
Everything barbershops need, in one tool
All of it on every paid plan unless the card says otherwise. Where something is limited by plan, the pricing below says so rather than this list hedging each line.
A chair per barber
Own services, own hours, own calendar, with permissions deciding who can see the whole floor and who sees only his own column.
Walk-ins beside the appointments
Add a walk-in at the counter and it lands in the same day view as the booked work, so nobody is double-promised the next free chair.
Real durations per service
A skin fade, a number two and a beard tidy each take the time they take, so the book reflects the floor instead of a fifteen-minute fiction.
Add-ons for the beard and the hot towel
Added when the client books, each extending the appointment by its own minutes rather than quietly eating the next slot.
Point of sale, 0% from Bookka
Cash, card or WisePOS E terminal at the counter, with no Bookka fee at all, and the money in your own Stripe account.
Deposits where you need them
Set a deposit per service — useful on the long ones and on first-time bookings — with the cancellation window shown before the client pays.
SMS and email reminders
A confirmation straight away and a reminder before the day. No-shows are mostly a memory problem, and this is most of the fix.
Stamps or points, redeemed at the till
Bookka Rewards runs on points for spend or stamps for turning up, against a rewards catalogue you set. It comes off the bill at the counter.
Notes and tags on the client
The guard number, the part, the fact he hates the clippers near his ear — private to the shop, and there for whoever is cutting today.
Products and gift cards
Sell pomade and clay at the counter or through your online shop with pickup or post, and gift cards straight from your booking page.
Chair rental on Executive
Renters run their own services, prices, hours and clients inside your shop, with their numbers kept separate from everyone else’s.
The regulars who stopped coming in
Your numbers show the clients who have not been back, and campaigns with single-use promo codes give you a way to ask them.
One flat price, not one per chair
No commission on any plan, including clients who find you through the marketplace. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial.

Yes. Walk-ins are added at the counter and sit in the same day view as the booked work, with a column per barber, so whoever is on the desk can see which chair is free and for how long. Bookka does not have a ticketed queue kiosk or a waiting-room TV display — if you need a numbered-ticket system, that is a gap worth knowing about before you switch.
Yes, and that is the default. Each barber has his own service list and hours, so when a client books online he picks the person and the cut together, and only the barbers who actually do that service are offered. If he has no preference he can take the first available chair instead.
Nothing per chair. Business is $39 a month for up to five people and Executive is $69 for up to twenty, with extra staff at $14.95 a month if you go past the included count and extra locations at $19.95. There is also a free plan for five bookings a month to try it on. Bookka charges no commission on bookings, on any plan.
No. Bookka adds nothing at all to an in-person payment. Online card payments cost 2.2% + 30c, all in and GST inclusive on Australian cards. In person Bookka takes nothing at all — you pay only Stripe’s own rate — and cash, your own EFTPOS machine and a gift card being redeemed cost nothing. Everything settles into your own Stripe account rather than ours.
Yes, on the Executive plan. Each renter has their own services, prices, hours and client list inside your shop, and roles keep their takings and their book separate from the rest of the floor. It is a supported arrangement rather than a workaround with shared logins.
Deposits are set per service, not per shop, so you can hold the long or first-time bookings and leave a regular’s number two alone. The client sees the deposit and your cancellation window before paying, and a cancellation inside the window refunds itself. Most of the effect, though, comes from the automatic SMS and email reminders.
No. They book in a browser from your own link or your marketplace profile, and the confirmation and reminder come by SMS and email. Nothing to download and no account to make first.
Yes. Product sells at the counter through the point of sale and online through your shop with pickup or post, and gift cards sell from your booking page. Stock, refunds and fulfilment live beside the bookings instead of in a second system.
