Booking software for laundries, where the booking is the pickup, not the wash

Nobody books a wash — they book a time for you to collect, or a window to drop in. Bookka puts those slots on a page people can take, prices the bag by size or weight before it arrives, and takes the payment at the counter without a second machine.

What laundries and dry cleaners put up with

If none of these are your week, you probably do not need us.

  • Collection times arranged by phone, one street and one customer at a time.
  • A run of pickups that only exists as a list someone wrote out this morning.
  • Bags priced at the counter by eye, differently depending on who is serving.
  • Dry cleaning promised for Thursday with nothing to tell the customer it is ready.
  • Card payments through a bank terminal that knows nothing about the order.
  • Regulars who stopped coming, noticed months later if at all.

What changes

Each one is a thing the product does today, not a thing on a roadmap.

Collection and drop-off slots book themselves

Publish the windows you actually run as bookable times and let customers take one, instead of agreeing each by phone. Your day stops being assembled every morning from scratch.

Bags priced before they arrive

Load size, weight bands or item counts as options on a service, each setting its own price and the time it takes, so what the customer books is what they pay.

Specialist work gets quoted

Wedding dresses, curtains, restoration and anything you have to see first come in as a quote request with photos rather than as a counter negotiation.

One screen for the order and the money

Payment rings up against the booking on cash, card or terminal, with no Bookka fee at all, and the money in your own Stripe account.

Standing instructions stay with the customer

No fabric softener, hang don’t fold, the buzzer is broken, leave it with the neighbour. Notes and tags on the record, private to the business.

The regulars who stopped

Reporting that names them and campaigns with single-use codes, which for a trade that runs on habit is the one marketing lever that works.

What you get

Everything a laundry runs on, in one place

Instead of a phone, a handwritten run sheet, a bank terminal and a counter book that only makes sense to whoever wrote it.

Fill the book

Bookings arrive while the machines are going, and at eleven at night.

Online booking, on your page and in the marketplace. Your own booking link plus a profile customers can find by service and suburb. You choose whether bookings confirm instantly or wait for your approval.

A calendar per person. Every team member has their own services, hours and schedule, with roles deciding who sees what. Chair renters and multi-location shops are handled as first-class cases, not workarounds.

Services with options, add-ons and quotes. Length variants that change the price, add-ons that extend the appointment, and a quote request for the jobs that have to be seen before they can be priced.

Get paid

Rung up at the counter, on the same screen as the order.

Deposits and cancellation policies. Take a per-service deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day. The customer sees the amount and the cancellation window before they pay, and a cancellation inside the window refunds itself.

A point of sale for walk-ins. Ring up services and retail at the counter, take cash or card, or use a WisePOS E terminal. Bookka charges no fee on an in-person payment — only Stripe’s own terminal rate applies, and cash costs nothing.

Gift cards and an online shop. Sell gift cards and products from your booking page, with pickup or post, and refunds and fulfilment tracked in the same place as your appointments.

Bring people back

A weekly customer is worth fifty walk-ins.

Reminders by SMS and email. A confirmation immediately and a reminder before the day, sent automatically. No-shows are mostly a memory problem, and this is the fix for it.

Bookka Rewards. Points for what people spend or stamps for turning up, redeemed against a catalogue you set. Rewards come off the bill at the till and in the shop.

Campaigns, social and ads. Email and SMS campaigns with single-use promo codes, a scheduler that publishes to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and a manager for Google and Meta ads.

Run the place

The admin that happens whether or not you have software for it.

Numbers you can act on. Revenue, bookings, your best services and the regulars who have quietly stopped coming — with exports and custom reports when you need to look properly.

An assistant that does the admin. Ask it about your own figures in plain English. Turn on changes and it will complete bookings, record cash, adjust stock and draft campaigns — confirming before each one and logging every change. It cannot cancel bookings, refund anyone or touch billing.

Xero, and the rest of your stack. Native accounting sync with accounts provisioned on connect, calendar sync so your own diary stays right, and Stripe underneath all of it.

Everything laundries and dry cleaners need, in one tool

All of it on every paid plan unless the card says otherwise. Where something is limited by plan, the pricing below says so rather than this list hedging each line.

  • Pickup and drop-off windows

The slots you actually run, published as bookable times so customers take one instead of ringing to arrange it.

  • Load size and weight as priced options

Behind one service, each setting its own price, so a bag is quoted the same way whoever is on the counter.

  • Quote requests for specialist items

Gowns, curtains and restoration photographed and priced before they are handed over.

  • Add-ons for ironing and express

Chosen at booking, each with its own price and turnaround, rather than negotiated at the counter.

  • Standing instructions per customer

Detergent, folding, access and delivery preferences kept on the record and read before the run.

  • A schedule per driver

Each person with their own hours and collections, so the run is visible to the shop rather than to one person.

  • Automatic confirmations and reminders

By SMS and email, so the customer is in when you knock and the bag is by the door.

  • Counter payments at 0% from Bookka

Cash, card or a WisePOS E terminal against the same order, with no Bookka fee at all — only Stripe’s own rate, and nothing on cash.

  • Products and gift cards

Detergents and vouchers sold at the counter or through an online shop with pickup or post.

  • Points or stamps for regulars

Bookka Rewards runs stamps per visit or points per dollar, so the tenth wash earns something without a paper card to lose.

  • Two sites on Executive

A second shop included, each with its own team, hours and schedule, and more at $19.95 a month.

  • No commission on any order

Your own page and a marketplace profile found by service and suburb, with no percentage taken.

Booking software for laundries and dry cleaners, answered

Still curious? Get in touch — we reply fast.

It suits the collection-and-delivery side and the specialist side. If customers book a pickup window or a drop-off time, those are bookings and Bookka handles them well, along with pricing, payment and the customer record. What it is not is a garment tracking system: there are no tickets, no per-item barcodes, no rack locations and no ready-for-collection notification. A shop whose core problem is knowing which bag is whose should weigh that first.

Not as a standing order — Bookka has no recurring bookings, so each collection is booked individually. A regular can rebook from your page in a few taps and you can book a run of dates ahead with them, but nothing repeats by itself. For a subscription laundry service, that is a significant gap.

Use load size, weight bands or item counts as options on a service, so the customer picks the band when booking and the price follows. Anything genuinely unusual — a gown, curtains, a restoration — comes in as a quote request with photos instead, which keeps the counter negotiation out of it.

No, and that is worth knowing. Booking confirmations and reminders go out automatically, but there is no ready-for-collection message you fire from the order. If chasing uncollected dry cleaning is a daily job for you, Bookka does not solve it.

Yes. The point of sale rings up against the booking on cash, card or a WisePOS E terminal, and Bookka takes nothing on an in-person payment, with nothing at all on cash. That replaces the bank terminal that knows nothing about the order.

Yes. Drivers and counter staff are team members with their own hours and schedules, so the collection run and the shop are the same diary seen from different columns. Roles decide who sees what. The Executive plan covers up to twenty people and two sites.

No. They book in a browser from your own link or your marketplace profile, and confirmations and reminders arrive by SMS and email. Nothing to install, which matters for a service people use casually rather than loyally.

No commission on bookings, on any plan, including customers who find you through the marketplace. Free for five bookings a month, then Business at $39 a month for up to five people and Executive at $69 for up to twenty across two sites. Online card payments cost 2.2% + 30c, all in and GST inclusive on Australian cards. In person Bookka takes nothing at all — you pay only Stripe’s own rate — and cash, your own EFTPOS machine and a gift card being redeemed cost nothing. Everything settles into your own Stripe account rather than ours.
