Booking software for piercing studios, where the jewellery is half the sale

A piercing takes ten minutes and the jewellery conversation takes thirty, and the second one is where the money is. Bookka keeps walk-ins and appointments in the same day, sells the titanium on the same screen as the service, and brings people back for the downsize that most studios never chase.

What piercing studios put up with

If none of these are your week, you probably do not need us.

  • A ten-minute piercing and a thirty-minute conversation about jewellery booked as one ten-minute slot.
  • Walk-ins tracked on a clipboard while the appointments live somewhere else entirely.
  • Jewellery stock in a spreadsheet that the till has never heard of.
  • Downsize visits that nobody books, so half of them never happen and the heal goes badly.
  • Clients booking a single lobe and arriving wanting a curated three, with no time left for it.
  • Aftercare explained at the counter and forgotten in the car park.

What changes

Each one is a thing the product does today, not a thing on a roadmap.

The jewellery conversation is in the booking

A service carries the time it really takes, including choosing what goes in, so a curated appointment is booked at thirty minutes rather than at the length of the needle work.

Walk-ins sit beside the appointments

Added at the counter into the same day view, one column per piercer, so whoever is on the desk can see who is free rather than working it out from a clipboard.

Stock sells where the advice is given

Titanium, opals and ends ring up against the same booking at the counter or through your online shop, with no Bookka fee at all.

Downsizes get booked, not hoped for

Set it up as its own short service so the client can book it, and use the reporting to see who was pierced months ago and has not been back. There is no automatic follow-up, so the prompt is yours to send — but you can see exactly who needs it.

Multiple piercings cost multiple slots

Each one is an add-on with its own minutes and price, so a client choosing three books the time three of them take instead of turning a ten-minute booking into forty.

Aftercare goes home in writing

Attached to the service so it arrives in the booking confirmation, rather than being a conversation held while someone is still deciding whether they feel faint.

What you get

Everything a piercing studio runs on, in one place

Instead of a clipboard at the door, a card machine, a stock spreadsheet and a jewellery cabinet nobody can price from the till.

Fill the book

Bookings arrive while you are gloved up, and at eleven at night.

Online booking, on your page and in the marketplace. Your own booking link plus a profile customers can find by service and suburb. You choose whether bookings confirm instantly or wait for your approval.

A calendar per person. Every team member has their own services, hours and schedule, with roles deciding who sees what. Chair renters and multi-location shops are handled as first-class cases, not workarounds.

Services with options, add-ons and quotes. Length variants that change the price, add-ons that extend the appointment, and a quote request for the jobs that have to be seen before they can be priced.

Get paid

The piercing and the jewellery on one bill, taken at the counter.

Deposits and cancellation policies. Take a per-service deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day. The customer sees the amount and the cancellation window before they pay, and a cancellation inside the window refunds itself.

A point of sale for walk-ins. Ring up services and retail at the counter, take cash or card, or use a WisePOS E terminal. Bookka charges no fee on an in-person payment — only Stripe’s own terminal rate applies, and cash costs nothing.

Gift cards and an online shop. Sell gift cards and products from your booking page, with pickup or post, and refunds and fulfilment tracked in the same place as your appointments.

Bring people back

The downsize is the appointment that decides whether it heals.

Reminders by SMS and email. A confirmation immediately and a reminder before the day, sent automatically. No-shows are mostly a memory problem, and this is the fix for it.

Bookka Rewards. Points for what people spend or stamps for turning up, redeemed against a catalogue you set. Rewards come off the bill at the till and in the shop.

Campaigns, social and ads. Email and SMS campaigns with single-use promo codes, a scheduler that publishes to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and a manager for Google and Meta ads.

Run the place

The admin that happens whether or not you have software for it.

Numbers you can act on. Revenue, bookings, your best services and the regulars who have quietly stopped coming — with exports and custom reports when you need to look properly.

An assistant that does the admin. Ask it about your own figures in plain English. Turn on changes and it will complete bookings, record cash, adjust stock and draft campaigns — confirming before each one and logging every change. It cannot cancel bookings, refund anyone or touch billing.

Xero, and the rest of your stack. Native accounting sync with accounts provisioned on connect, calendar sync so your own diary stays right, and Stripe underneath all of it.

Everything piercing studios need, in one tool

All of it on every paid plan unless the card says otherwise. Where something is limited by plan, the pricing below says so rather than this list hedging each line.

  • Piercings as stacking add-ons

Each site chosen at booking adds its own minutes and price, so three at once is booked as three at once.

  • Walk-ins in the same day view

Logged at the counter beside the booked work, with a column per piercer so the desk can see the next free pair of hands.

  • Jewellery sold at the counter

Stock rings up against the booking on cash, card or terminal, with no Bookka fee at all, and nothing whatsoever when they pay cash.

  • An online shop for ends and tools

Jewellery and aftercare sold with pickup or post, with refunds and fulfilment beside your appointments.

  • Downsize appointments on the menu

A short, cheap or free service clients can book themselves, so the visit that decides the heal is not left to memory.

  • Aftercare in every confirmation

Written onto the service once and sent automatically, so it is in a phone rather than in a sentence nobody retained.

  • Client notes and jewellery history

What was pierced, what went in, the gauge and the date — private to the studio and there at the downsize.

  • A calendar per piercer

Own services, hours and clients, with roles controlling who sees the whole floor.

  • Deposits where you want them

Set per service, useful on curated appointments and first-timers, with the cancellation window shown before payment.

  • Automatic reminders

Confirmation at booking and a reminder before the day, by SMS and email, without a list for anyone to work through.

  • Who is overdue a downsize

Reporting that names the clients pierced months ago who have not been back, so the prompt is a list rather than a hunch.

  • Social publishing alongside the book

Scheduled posts to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, which is where a piercing studio’s new clients come from.

Booking software for piercing studios, answered

Still curious? Get in touch — we reply fast.

Yes — make the service as long as the appointment really is. The usual mistake is pricing the needle work and booking ten minutes, when a curated ear with a jewellery conversation is half an hour. Where clients want several piercings, make each site an add-on so choosing three produces a booking long enough for three.

Walk-ins are added at the counter and appear in the same day view as the booked work, with a column per piercer so the desk can see who frees up next. There is no ticketed queue kiosk, no number display and no automatic wait-time estimate — if you want customers taking a ticket from a screen, Bookka does not do that part.

Yes, and for a piercing studio this is the main argument for it. Stock sells at the counter through the point of sale against the same booking, and online through your shop with pickup or post. Bookka takes nothing on an in-person payment, so the jewellery sale costs you only Stripe’s own rate.

Two halves. Put the downsize on your menu as its own short service so clients can book it themselves, and use the reporting that shows who has not been back since their piercing to see who is overdue. Be aware of the gap: Bookka has no scheduled follow-up that fires six weeks after an appointment, so the message itself is still one you send.

No. There is no consent form, no signature capture and no identity check in Bookka, and piercing minors carries requirements that differ by state. Those records stay wherever they are now. If a single system covering consent and booking is what you need, this is not that.

Yes. Each has their own services, hours, calendar and clients, and roles decide who sees the studio’s whole day. Business covers up to five people and Executive up to twenty, with extra staff at $14.95 a month past the included count and chair rental supported on Executive.

Yes, if you put it on the service — it then goes out in the booking confirmation automatically, so it is on their phone rather than in something they were told while deciding whether they felt faint. The reminder before the appointment can carry the preparation notes the same way.

No commission on bookings, on any plan, including clients who find you through the marketplace. Free for five bookings a month, then Business at $39 a month for up to five people and Executive at $69 for up to twenty. Online card payments cost 2.2% + 30c, all in and GST inclusive on Australian cards. In person Bookka takes nothing at all — you pay only Stripe’s own rate — and cash, your own EFTPOS machine and a gift card being redeemed cost nothing. Everything settles into your own Stripe account rather than ours.
