Frequently asked questions
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — Pro and Business both come with a free trial so you can explore everything before you pay. You get one trial per account.
- Can I change plans whenever I want?
- Absolutely. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated, so you only pay the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep your features until then.
- How much do I save paying annually?
- Annual billing saves you around 17%. Pro is $300/year (vs $360 monthly) and Business is $600/year (vs $720 monthly).
- How do add-ons get billed?
- Extra staff and locations are billed on a separate monthly subscription. Adding one is prorated and takes effect right away; removing one is non-refundable but you keep the seat or location until the end of the period.
- What happens when I hit the Free plan limits?
- The Free plan is capped at 5 bookings per month. When you need more, upgrade to Pro for unlimited bookings, SMS reminders and marketing tools.
- What currency are prices in?
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
- Are there fees on bookings I take payment for?
- When you take payment through Bookka you get paid directly into your own Stripe account. Standard card processing applies (paid to Stripe — about 1.7% + 30¢ for Australian cards) plus a small Bookka platform fee of about 1.3% per booking — roughly 3% all-in. You’re the merchant of record, so payouts, refunds and any disputes are handled on your own Stripe account. Bookings without an online payment are always free, and booking on Bookka is always free for your customers.
